![]() ![]() This is one of the main reasons for the failure of PCI in complex CAD. Notably, some complex target lesions are difficult to reach using the current tools because of the inadequate backup support of the guiding catheter ( 1), especially in highly calcified and tortuous vessels ( 2). Most complex coronary artery lesions can be treated owing to the continuous refinements of the hardware armamentarium and improvements of interventional technologies.
